Terms of service
CorpusReady flags issues. It does not give legal advice. Rights check results are flags, not advice. This is not legal advice. Consult a lawyer before licensing.
1. Who we are
CorpusReady is operated by Trove Distribution Limited, company number 10187717, registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to your use of CorpusReady (“the service”).
2. What the service does
CorpusReady helps you inventory your business data, check rights questions, de-identify it, document its provenance, see an indicative value score and, if you choose, submit it to a third-party AI data marketplace. We prepare and introduce. We do not buy, resell or license your data, act as your agent in any sale, or guarantee that any marketplace will accept, buy or pay for it. Value scores and price bands are indicative, not an offer.
3. Our role with your data
For the data you upload, you are the controller and we act as your processor. We process it only on your instructions, as described in these terms and our privacy policy. For your account details, we are the controller.
4. Your responsibilities
You confirm that you own the data you upload, or have the right to use it in this way, and that uploading it does not breach any contract, privacy notice or law. You give an attestation to this effect when you generate a pack. You are responsible for any decision to license or submit data.
5. Data we refuse
You must not upload health, biometric, children’s, financial-account or government-ID data. If we detect it, we stop processing, tell you why and delete the file.
6. Deletion of raw files
Raw uploads are deleted 24 hours after your pack is written; 30 days after payment if you have paid for a pack but not run it (your payment does not expire, so you can upload the file again and run the pack later); or 7 days after upload if no pack is bought. A scheduled job that runs every hour does this and logs each deletion. Refused files are deleted straight away. We keep the de-identified pack, redaction log, manifest and scorecard until you delete them or close your account.
7. No resale
We never sell, resell, license or share your data with anyone, except when you choose to submit a pack to a marketplace, and then only that pack goes to that marketplace.
8. Payment
The free inventory costs nothing. Data Packs are charged per dataset and Pro is charged monthly, at the prices shown on the pricing page, through Stripe. You can cancel Pro at any time and it ends at the close of the current billing period.
9. Refunds
Once a pack has been generated, its fee is not refundable. If a pack job fails and we cannot deliver the pack, we refund the fee for that pack in full.
10. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to process data you have no right to use, to attempt to re-identify individuals, to upload malicious files or to interfere with the service or other users.
11. Closing your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing us at the address in the footer. When you close it, we cancel any Pro subscription at the end of the current billing period, delete any raw uploads straight away, and delete your packs, manifests and scorecards. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why.
12. Limitation of liability
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to a pack is capped at the fee you paid for that pack. For free use, our liability is limited to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Applicable data protection law
We process personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and, for Malaysian users and data subjects, the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). De-identified data falls outside these laws only where re-identification is not reasonably likely, which is why we run a k-anonymity check and document its result.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms with 14 days’ notice by email and on this page. If you do not agree to the changes, you can close your account before they take effect.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
